What is the Silver Leaf Project?
Although many states vary in regulation, there is currently very little formalized direction on admitting Registered Sex Offenders (RSO) to Skilled Nursing Facilities. Without regulations to mandate RSO registry checks prior to admission, without proper risk assessments on admission, and without appropriate care planning after admission, the end result can be tragic. It remains our mission to educate Healthcare Leadership on the process of properly vetting RSOs to Skilled Nursing Facilities, Assisted Living Facilities and Homecare Agencies.
